BactoFlor^® 10/20 is the forte microbiotic in Intercell Pharma's BactoFlor^® portfolio – designed for people with an increased demand for active microcultures; suitable both for long-term use and for more intensive use over a limited period.

Each capsule contains ten complementary bacterial strains from four particularly important genera of microbiotic lactic acid bacteria:

• From the genus Bifidobacterium come three large-intestine-specific representatives: B. bifidum, B. breve and B. longum.

• From the genus Lactobacillus come five typical representatives of the small intestine flora: L. acidophilus, L. casei, L. reuteri, L. rhamnosus and L. plantarum.

• From the genus Lactococcus comes Lactococcus lactis, a natural representative of the lactic acid bacteria.

• From the genus Enterococcus comes Enterococcus faecium, which rounds out the spectrum as a further natural representative.

All ten strains have natural, tested gastric acid stability – they pass through the stomach intact, reach the intestine viable and require no gastric acid-resistant coating of the capsule. They are therefore particularly robust cultures with excellent microbiotic properties.

With 20 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per capsule, BactoFlor^® 10/20 offers more than three times the concentration of BactoFlor^® Basis. As with all BactoFlor^® products, this is the guaranteed viable cell count until the end of the shelf life, made possible by the microencapsulation process and the high-barrier protective blister. This special packaging is impermeable to the influence of oxygen and water vapour during storage and protects the microcultures particularly well.

The bacterial cultures are complemented by 110 mg of inulin per capsule – a natural dietary fibre from the root of the chicory plant that serves as a nutrient for the bacteria residing in the large intestine.

Storage advice

Please store in a cool place (for example in the refrigerator), not above 25 °C, dry and out of the reach of young children. Thanks to the microencapsulation process and the high-barrier protective blister, the declared viable cell count of 20 billion CFU per capsule is maintained until the end of the shelf life.

BactoFlor^® 10/20 is manufactured in Germany. Intercell Pharma is certified to the international standards FSSC 22000 (food safety) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) by the testing institute SGS.

Additional quality assurance is provided through individual weighing: every single BactoFlor^® 10/20 capsule is checked separately for its weight and is subject to strict tolerances (± 5 %). This ensures that each capsule contains a constant and exact quantity of microcultures.
