BactoFlor^® AB is a highly concentrated microbiotic from Intercell Pharma's BactoFlor^® portfolio, designed for short-term use – particularly suitable for meeting the demand for natural microcultures in a qualitatively sound way, for example during a course of antibiotics.

Each capsule contains eleven complementary bacterial cultures from the small and large intestine flora, combined with the yeast culture Saccharomyces boulardii. All microcultures have natural, tested gastric acid stability – they pass through the stomach intact, reach the intestine viable and require no gastric acid-resistant coating of the capsule. They are therefore particularly robust cultures with excellent microbiotic properties. A further special feature is the addition of the yeast culture Saccharomyces boulardii: it belongs to a different biological group than the bacterial cultures and complements their spectrum with a yeast culture.

As cofactors, BactoFlor^® AB contains the nutrients vitamin D3 and zinc. Both contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Zinc also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The formula is complemented by 50 mg of inulin per capsule – a natural dietary fibre from the root of the chicory plant that serves as a nutrient for the bacteria residing in the large intestine.

With 30 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per capsule – 28 billion from bacterial cultures and 2 billion from Saccharomyces boulardii – BactoFlor^® AB is highly concentrated. As with all BactoFlor^® products, this is the guaranteed viable cell count until the end of the shelf life, made possible by the microencapsulation process and the high-barrier protective blister.

Storage advice

Please store in a cool place (for example in the refrigerator), not above 25 °C, dry and out of the reach of young children. Thanks to the microencapsulation process and the high-barrier protective blister, the declared viable cell count of 30 billion CFU per capsule is maintained until the end of the shelf life.

BactoFlor^® AB is manufactured in Germany. Intercell Pharma is certified to the international standards FSSC 22000 (food safety) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) by the testing institute SGS.

Additional quality assurance is provided through individual weighing: every single BactoFlor^® AB capsule is checked separately for its weight and is subject to strict tolerances (± 5 %). This ensures that each capsule contains a constant and exact quantity of microcultures.
