Synergy Probiotics for Children
BactoFlor® for children is the microbiotic from Intercell Pharma's BactoFlor® portfolio specifically tailored to the child's gut flora. The selection and concentration of the bacterial cultures it contains are geared to the microbial spectrum of infants, toddlers and children up to 12 years of age – during this period of life the body passes through various developmental phases, and the colonisation of the gut with bacteria depends on each of them.
Each gram of powder contains ten complementary microcultures. The spectrum comprises five Bifidobacterium species (Bifidobacterium bifidum, B. breve, B. infantis, B. lactis and B. longum) as typical representatives of the large intestine flora, four Lactobacillus species (Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, L. reuteri and L. rhamnosus) as typical representatives of the small intestine flora, plus Streptococcus thermophilus – the classic yoghurt culture, well documented in childhood by studies. Bifidobacterium infantis is one of the dominant Bifidobacterium species in the infant gut and is particularly relevant for the first years of life.
All ten strains have natural, tested gastric acid stability – they pass through the stomach intact, reach the intestine viable and require no gastric acid-resistant coatings. They are therefore particularly robust cultures with excellent microbiotic properties.
With 4 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per gram, BactoFlor® for children provides an age-appropriate concentration. As with all BactoFlor® products, this is the guaranteed viable cell count until the end of the shelf life, made possible in part by the high-quality microencapsulation process.

Recommended intake: 1–2 times daily, stir 1 measuring spoon (1 g) into water or mix into unheated drinks or food – high temperatures can reduce the viability of the microcultures. Suitable from infancy onwards. We recommend use for at least two to three months.
The instruction "after a meal" has a physiological background: after a meal the pH in the stomach is between 5 and 6, and therefore considerably higher than in the fasted state (pH 1 to 2). In this higher pH range, the microcultures pass through the stomach safely.
BactoFlor® for children is also suitable for long-term use. Clean the enclosed measuring spoon before first use.

BactoFlor® for children is gluten-free and free from artificial flavours and colours, soya, genetically modified organisms, histamine-forming bacteria and sweeteners. It is suitable for people with milk protein or lactose intolerance or other food intolerances.
Storage advice
Please store in a cool place (for example in the refrigerator), not above 25 °C, dry and out of the reach of young children. Keep the powder tin tightly closed after each use and consume by the stated shelf life. Do not expose to heat or direct sunlight.
