BactoFlor^® Nerves is an innovative triple complex from Intercell Pharma's BactoFlor^® portfolio that combines three complementary bacterial cultures with a saffron extract and the complete spectrum of B vitamins.

The three bacterial cultures – Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus helveticus and Bifidobacterium longum – are natural representatives of the gut flora. They were selected with regard to the so-called gut-brain axis: through it, the microorganisms of the intestinal surface are involved in the flow of information between the gut and the central nervous system (CNS). The microcultures have natural, tested gastric acid stability and pass through the stomach without any gastric acid-resistant coating of the capsule.

The second component is a saffron extract. Saffron is obtained from the dried stigmas of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus). BactoFlor^® Nerves contains a gently obtained saffron extract standardised to a content of over 10 % of its value-giving constituents; these are referred to as crocin and safranal.

The third component is the complete spectrum of all eight B vitamins. The functioning of the central nervous system depends to a high degree on a sufficient supply of energy and nutrients; during phases of particular physical or mental demand, the need for certain micronutrients may be increased. The B-group vitamins complement one another in their properties and support each other.

With 12 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per daily dose of two capsules, BactoFlor^® Nerves offers a study-compliant concentration of bacterial cultures. As with all BactoFlor^® products, this is the guaranteed viable cell count until the end of the shelf life, made possible by the microencapsulation process and the high-barrier protective blister, which protects the sensitive microcultures particularly effectively during storage. This special packaging is impermeable to oxygen and water vapour – which is particularly important for the bifidobacteria it contains, which as anaerobes live in the absence of oxygen.

Storage advice

Please store in a cool place (for example in the refrigerator), not above 25 °C, dry and out of the reach of young children. Thanks to the microencapsulation process and the high-barrier protective blister, the declared viable cell count of 12 billion CFU per daily dose is maintained until the end of the shelf life.

Additional quality assurance is provided through individual weighing: every single BactoFlor^® Nerves capsule is checked separately for its weight and is subject to strict tolerances (± 5 %). This ensures that each capsule contains a constant and exact quantity of active substances.
